A Golfer's Week by Tamela Roush
Your week begins on Wednesday which is your practice round
You have eighteen holes to go this day it's time to cover ground
You finish with plus ten although you know you're in the game
Tomorrow's eighteen will come in time and then they'll know your name
Thursday comes you try again to bring your score to par
Only this time it is really real - no elimination so far
Friday's here you've made it - have to go another round
And so far you have pared each hole that water didn't drown
You hit some desert shots and you hit some in the beach
Seems like you went from North to South to make it on the green
But it comes down to the fact that you've made it one more day
Now Saturday you'll show them how your game is played your way
Who is that guy - What is his name - Wow, did you see that shot
I can't believe he made that shot with the driver that he bought
Sunday's here and now the game is tied up in first place
He concentrates on his last putt - his game is finally aced
The weekend's here it's Monday and Tuesday you'd think he had time off
But Wednesday will come soon enough so back to the course for Golf
